Overview:
In this course, students will use the advanced features of Dreamweaver CS3 to design and develop professional-looking websites.

Who Should Attend:
This course is designed for students who not only use Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 to design and develop webpages in a WYSIWYG environment, but also have the ability to understand and work with the architecture and coding of web pages. Students are those in small companies or departments within large companies who use web technologies for electronic communication. Some examples of target companies are advertising agencies, marketing agencies, and groups involved in intranet and extranet production.

At Course Completion:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: - work in Code view using the coding features of Dreamweaver. - format content using style sheets. - create an effective user-navigation interface. - work with AP elements to enhance the layout and positioning of elements on a web page. - automate tasks. - create forms. - author a web page by using XML-based data.

Dreamweaver CS3 - Level 1

Lesson 3: Creating an Effective User-Navigation Interface

  • Create Rollovers
  • Create a Navigation Bar
  • Add Flash Buttons and Text to a Page
  • Use the Spry User Interface Widgets
  • Add Spry Effects

Lesson 4: Working with AP Elements

  • Create AP Elements
  • Control AP Elements Dynamically
  • Insert Rich Media Objects into an AP Element

Lesson 5: Automating Tasks

  • Add Library Items from Site Pages
  • Place Library Items onto Site Pages
  • Use Snippets
  • Replay Actions Using the History Panel
