The CompTIA Server+ course certifies the knowledge and skills of mid- to upper-level technicians with 18 to 24 months of solid IT experience. It focuses on technical knowledge in areas such as RAID, SCSI and Multiple CPUs, as well as capabilities with Server Issues, including Disaster Recovery.
Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that CompTIA Server+ candidates hold a CompTIA A+ certification.

In this course, students install, configure, upgrade, maintain and troubleshoot servers, and learn information and skills that will be helpful on the job. They will also be thoroughly prepared for the CompTIA Server+ certification examination, 2005 objectives.

This course was created for IT professionals who are responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting local area networks. The course has been developed to produce competent Network Support Technicians who are capable of taking and passing the new Network+ certification exam.

Learners may elect to write the International Microsoft and CompTIA examinations at New Horizons' Authorised Prometric Testing Centre. The costs for International exams are not included in the course fees.
