CompTIA Server+

Overview: In this course, you will install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, and learn information and skills that will be helpful on the job. You will: explore server fundamentals; describe the characteristics of the system processing core subsystem; describe storage system components, so that you can effectively implement several types of storage solutions; explore the communication, power, and input/output subsystems; install, configure and maintain servers; upgrade server components; explore environmental issues surrounding servers; troubleshoot servers; explore disaster recovery concepts and techniques.

Prerequisites: The CompTIA Server+ certification is targeted toward computer technicians with 18-24 months of strong experience in the Information Technology industry; hands on experience with installation, configuration, diagnosis, and troubleshooting PC hardware and NOS issues; and at least one industry certification, such as CompTIA's A+, Compaq ACT, Novell CAN, or Microsoft MCP. To ensure your success with this course, it is recommended you first take the following courses or have equivalent knowledge: A+ Certification: Core Hardware, A+ Certification: Operating Systems, and Network+ Certification
