Bursary Application

New Horizons Cape Town is proud to offer a bursary in IT to the value of R8,000.00 (Eight thousand Rand). The aim of this bursary programme is to assist potential students and give them a start into becoming IT professionals.  

The courses in the bursary includes:

• A+

And also Microsoft Office courses in the Office version of the student’s choice in:

• Excel Level 1
• Word Level 1
• Outlook Level 1

Bursaries will be awarded based on academic merit, financial need and the availability of bursary funds. Currently we only have one bursary award available, so read on to see if you qualify and how you can make use of this wonderful opportunity.

Terms and eligibility

Candidates have to meet the following conditions in order to be considered for a bursary

• The candidate must be a South African citizen.
• The candidate must provide written proof from a potential employer that once the skills have been gained that he/she will be guaranteed a job.
• Upon employment the candidate will be required to repay the bursary amount in monthly payments in order for New Horizons to continue this programme, thus creating a value chain whereby more and more students can stand a chance to qualify for this opportunity.
• The bursary covers course materials, but excludes international exam fees.

The bursary award decision will only be made once sufficient information has been submitted by the candidate. It is therefore in your best interest to complete the form as far as possible. Supporting documentation, such as academic history, is not required with the initial application.

Successful applicants will be contacted as soon as possible and be required to either fax or email through the needed documentation to support the application.

In some cases the applicant will also be required to write an aptitude test to deem if the student has the academic capacity to venture into this specific IT qualification.
